FAQ’s

Q: How much is my personal injury case worth?

A: Each case we deal with is very different and all of them yield different results. There are many factors that go into this calculation. You really won’t get a good estimate until you speak with a lawyer. It could be $0 or could be $200,000.

Q: Will my personal injury case go to trial?

A: Your attorney will first try and settle with the insurance company which usually will happen. If he/she can’t get a fair settlement for some reason then a lawsuit will be filed with the court. This is called litigation. On average 95% of injury cases in the United States settle and do not go to trial.

Q: How long will it take to settle my personal injury case?

A: This is one of the most hard questions to answer although it’s a common one. Your case will go through several different stages. You may have to be treated by several doctors and go through medical testing and treatment. Once that is completed then your attorney will attempt to negotiate with the insurance company of the negligent party. If a fair settlement is not agreed on then your case could go to trial which will then make the case longer. On average a case can last from 4 months to 4 years.

Q: I was just in a car accident, what do I do now?

A: Call the police to file a police report. Then get medical attention as soon as you can. Car accidents often involved collisions that can cause a wide variety of injuries and sometimes you don’t recognize those right away. After that you should call an experienced auto accident attorney.
